Profile of the library

The library of the Military History Research Institute offers its users a specialized collection of relevant literature on military history which is unique in its kind in Germany. It is open to staff members of the Military History Research Institute and of the entire Bundeswehr, as well as to the history students of the University of Potsdam, but also to any individuals with an interest in military history.

With its current inventory of 250 000 volumes, with 4000 new accessions per year and 224 current journals, the library covers the entire spectrum of modern research on military history.
