Practicals

For several years now, students of history and related subjects have had the opportunity to do unpaid scientific practicals in various divisions of the MGFA. Traineeships are also available within the editorial staff and in the library. The minimum period is four weeks. Interested officer and civilian students are requested to send a brief application including a CV by email to Dr.Martin Rink (MartinRink@bundeswehr.org), phone +49 331 9714 534.

We would like to inform you that unpaid practicals are also offered at the Military History Museum (Militärhistorisches Museum - MHM) in Dresden and at the Air Force Museum (Luftwaffenmuseum) in Berlin-Gatow. You can find outline information on these institutes on our website under the heading “Museums”. Officers who are not assigned to the MGFA in case of mobilisation can do active duty training at the institute if their mobilisation units provide active duty training days.
